ME+1

A 6 track alternative rap/hip-hop ep (22m 23s) — released September 11th 2015 on Astral Black

Astral Black continue their 2015 winning streak with 'Me+1' - the collaborative release from LDN-based word slinger, ItsNate and Soulection/Rinse FM affiliated producer, JD. Reid. Set for release this September - 'Me+1' sees Nate & JD each combine elements of their individual sounds to create something far more stylistically advanced. Joining the dots between Hip-Hop, Grime & UK club music to create a sound that is both truly unique & unmistakably British. Radio support for the release comes so far from Julie Adenuga, who premiered 'WG1KLG' & 'Code Switching' on her Beats1 radio show for Apple Music & Plastician (Rinse FM). The track 'Chopper' was also premiered via Boiler Room, who described the project as "consistently honing in on the vertex between hip-hop/trap & grime with flick-of-the-wrist ease".

ItsNate has been a mainstay in London's recent hip-hop resurgence, a prolific artist - releasing a slew of independent projects that have seen him work alongside esteemed producers such as Darq E Freaker, Budgie & skwlkr and earmarked by Danny Brown as one of his favourite UK mc's. Nate continues to challenge the perception of British MC's with his trademark delivery and savvy production choice, demonstrated with finesse here on 'Me+1'

JD. Reid has also been busy building up his profile, with tastemakers in both the UK & US observing his every move. JD has released a string of production-focussed EP's since 2013 - including a release on Plastician's Terrorhythm imprint, a feature on Soulection x Stussy's 2014 compilation and a recent collab with Grime wunder-kid, Faze Miyake, finding it's way into all your favourite DJ's Serato folders.

'Me+1' is due for release September 11th via Astral Black on limited edition cassette tape & digital download.
